Business Development

When considering business development the questions to be answered are pretty much the same for a consumer product or a piece of industrial equipment - who wants it, what will they pay for it, what are the routes to market, what are the obstacles and do the economics stack up.

The answers have to be unearthed via a disciplined process of evaluation that:

  • Assesses the options sanely and honestly
  • Tests the logic of the options to destruction
  • Reviews the resulting plan, amends it and then reviews it again

Business development planning needn't be slow; but it must be painstaking.

Clarity of purpose and thorough assessment are both absolutely vital.
